The Texas State University softball team is adding more firepower to their roster after nabbing sophomore transfer Kennedy Cline from Ole Miss.
Coach Ricci Woodard has said that she is excited to welcome Cline because she knows she is a hard working student-athlete.
Outfielder Cline comes to the Bobcats after competing in eight games for the Rebels in her freshman year. In eight games, she had six at-bats with one hit and two RBI. One of those games came against a Texas State rival, UTSA. At the completion of her freshman year, she was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll team.
Cline will be returning home to Texas. She attended Lumberton High School, where she lettered all four seasons, picking up numerous All-District accolades. She also played varsity soccer for two seasons.
This fall, Cline will be joining Phoenix College transfer Sierra Steimel. True freshmen joining the Bobcats in the fall will be Bailee Carter, Haleigh Davis, Lizzie Donaldson and Christiana McDowell.
