Luke Jenkins, 21, is a senior at Texas State University.
Cowan: How are you doing today?
Jenkins: Doing alright, I have a test coming up today in Spanish III. I have been studying a lot today and applying for a second job.
C: What has your Texas State/San Marcos experience been like?
J: My Texas State experience has been a lot of self-driven work. I have been able to work independently on whatever I want to work on, which has allowed me to find my niche.

C: Where are you from?
J: San Antonio, but more specifically the Timberwood Park area. Which is North of San Antonio and New Braunfels.
C: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
J: I really would like to be in New York or Oregon; working on research for theater Dramaturgical. Dramaturgy is what I am really interested in. Dramaturgy is when I take all the information about the piece and make it relevant to the audience. Dramaturgy takes all the information and makes the audience know how it relates to them.
C: How did you get interested in Dramaturgy?
J: I took a Shakespeare class through the Honors College with Dr. Lockman, and some other classes which made me know that I enjoyed analyzing text. My girlfriend really helped me know that I did enjoy this and encouraged me to pursue it.
C: If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world, right now, where would you go?
J: Go back to Japan. I went there last summer for a week. I want to go back to explore the Fuji area some more. I really enjoyed going to Tokyo last time I was there, it very much has a New York feel. I enjoyed New York when I went there as well. The culture of Japan is very different from American, but still really fast paced which is really neat.
