In 2015, San Marcos was reported as the fastest growing city for the third consecutive year in a row. With the construction of the new highway, increased population and other factors, some believe San Marcos is on the cusp of gentrification. Join your hosts DaLyah Jones and Jacquelyn Carter as they discuss what is driving people to San Marcos, fears of gentrification and more.

Conor Yarbrough discussed what gentrification is, and the difference between gentrification and economic growth in San Marcos.

Host DaLyah Jones interviewed a long time San Marcos native, Steven Hernandez, on how views the changes in recent years.

There are few negative aspects of development, but there is also good. Kasandra Garza did a story on the Main Street Program and how they working to maintain historic buildings and bring new business to the downtown area.
