More than 35 bands made their pilgrimage to Preservation Park in Old Town Spring, Texas to perform at the first annual End Hip End It. This was dubbed as Houston’s first psychedelic music fest to take place. Featured in the gallery are 2016 MR Fest’s headliner Night Beats and Philadelphia’s psych rock band Ruby The Hatchet. Rounding out the gallery are local psychedelic rock bands Astral Blue (San Marcos), Crypt Trip (San Marcos), Foxmoor Express (New Braunfels), Christian Bland & The Revelators (Austin), Golden Dawn Arkestra (Austin), and Amplified Heat (Austin).
End Hip End It strayed away from the music of today’s music festivals by bringing bands that blended genres like psychedelic blues/rock, electronic, and doom. Many of the bands slingshotted the audience into outer space with their cosmic, hypnotizing jams. This gallery features stills of the bands simply doing what they do best.
