San Maximum: Jo on the Go

If there is a place for a person to grab a cup of coffee while on their way to work in San Marcos, it is definitely Jo on the Go. Jo on the Go makes some of the best coffee, smoothies and foods in town while maintaining their trademark hipster vibe. Many San Marcans visit this spot routinely, which causes customers to form a community together. There is doubt about it, in order to gain the maximum San Marcos experience you must go to Jo on the Go.  

Jo on the Go is located at 312 University Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666. Adjacent spots next to Jo on the Go include Zookas Ultimate Burritos, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and the Texas State University Performing Arts Center. Its location near downtown San Marcos and Texas State University makes Jo on the Go a popular spot for foot traffic.

Service at Jo on the Go is just flat out awesome. The people working here definitely add to the cool factor of this restaurant. While the baristas create delicious drinks for customers, they will actually interact with them. From my personal experience, I have found the staff to always be inviting and helpful, and my personal experience is not unlike many other customers. Despite all the nice things about Jo on the Go, the drinks are what really brings customers in. Serving iced toddies, espresso, lattes and cappuccinos, coffee lovers will feel as much at home here as a snail is inside its shell. Each drink the baristas create are tasty and unique. A popular drink here are the iced toddies. The cold drinks are refreshing, especially on a hot Texas day. Other nice cool drinks include the Chai Charger, which is also very affordable for a complex drink. The toddies are made everyday, and they even serve homemade smoothies, which appeal to health nuts like me. If you do not want to drink much caffeine, than the smoothies are a drink you will be more interested in.

Jo on the Go will serve their customers some substantial food while they sip on their drinks. Breakfast tacos and sandwiches are the most popular food items served here, and they serve both hot and cold sandwiches. The sandwiches are the ideal amount to hold a person over from lunch until dinner. I grab a bite to eat here in between classes. The tacos are a steadfast choice when it comes to food. Breakfast tacos are always good to eat no matter what time of the day it is. There tacos are made fresh and sold in large amount to customers every day.

One question many people wonder is whether Jo on the Go and Jo’s Coffee House are linked together. They are owned by the same owner, and observant customers will notice that each store serves coffee to customers in the same sterlo foam cups.

Jo on the Go is a loved coffee shop in San Marcos not just for its drinks, but because of the food and staff as well. In order to gain the maximum San Marcos experience, you must go to Jo on the Go.
