My whole life has been a series of decisions and tasks, all of which have made me who I am today. Every single moment where I was offered a choice or a say has consequently led me here. For all I know, there could be an alternate universe where I’m part of a Korean boy band, and while that may be pretty neat, I’m pretty happy with where I am today. I’m happy with all of my accomplishments and achievements, but I would be remiss if I weren’t to acknowledge everyone who’s helped me along the way. So while I still have your attention and the ability to write for KTSW’s blog once more, I’d like to say one last thank you.
Thank you to my family for being my foundation. Thank you to my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and all other relatives for coming to my soccer games and recitals, for instilling in me good morals and ethics, for putting food on the table, a roof over my head and love in my heart. Everything I am today is because of all of you and while being a part of any family isn’t always easy, but I’m always thankful for having you all. I also commend you all for having to grow with me. That’s a task not many people are capable of overcoming and something I know only you can do.
Thank you to all of my friends for giving me the support of 10 million people. Growing up, all I ever wanted was for people to like me and somehow, somewhere along the way, I managed to do just that with you guys. You all fell for it haha. On the real though, thank you for always being there for me. Your friendship is what keeps me humble and I’m proud to be able to call such good human beings my friends. And to Nadine, thank you for constantly putting up with my shenanigans, for always believing in me and for seeing something in me that I never could.
Thank you to all of my teachers, professors, counselors, bosses and mentors. Everything I have learned, whether it be from piano lessons, calculus or on the job, I owe to you. The knowledge you’ve passed down to me is invaluable and will forever be engraved into everything I do. Thank you for your guidance and altruism. I hope you all know just how influential you are and always will be to me.
Thank you to all of my enemies and greatest criticizers. You are my driving factor and what motivates me to be the best. Thank you for questioning my ability, for pushing me to the edge and making me constantly second guess myself. You’ve all given me something to prove and I know that one day, thanks to you, I’ll do just that.
So thank you once again, to everyone in my life. For everything you’ve said, for everything you’ve done for me, I cannot thank you enough. There are no amount of words that I could type right now, that could even come close to representing the amount of gratitude I have in my heart. I hope from here on out, I can some day give back everything you’ve given to me.
To my readers, thank you for following me on this blogging journey. It’s been a great ride, writing for y’all for the past two semesters and I thank you dearly for taking the time to read my articles. It may not seem like that big of a deal, but as someone who never thought of themselves to be a proper writer of any sorts, this truly means the world. So to all my readers, I wish you all the best and until next time, happy living my friends.
By Jenise Jackson Blog Content Contributor I am grateful for every moment of life that my mother and I share, and I feel like Mother’s Day is a day to remind the queen of my life how much she means to me. Honestly, my mother has always been my main role model. I’ve aspired to be similar to her in as many ways as possible. She’s beautiful, smart, and loving […]
