What’s better than playing games with pets? You could say that playing games for pets that are in need might be. Luckily, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is back to throw their third biannual Shelter Game Night. If you want to make a difference for some of San Marcos’ lovable fur buddies, being at the San Marcos Activity Center on November 3rd just might be your move.
From 6 to 9 p.m., Shelter Game Night attendees will be able to enjoy a night filled with many rounds of bingo along with food and drinks. And what is bingo without the prizes? Attendees will be playing for a chance to win goodie baskets, gift cards from local businesses, sponsored adoptions, and a grand prize of four one-day passes to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Not too bad of an incentive when it comes to helping out some adorable pets.
Bingo cards will be available online and at the door for $10 for the first card and $5 for any additional. All proceeds from this event will be contributing to the Mutt Strutt Guardian Angels Program. This nonprofit organization works to support the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter by providing sponsored adoptions for long-stay and special needs pets, as well as spay/neuter and wellness services. Mutt Strutt’s goal is to lower the intake of sheltered animals and increasing adoption rates. If you love animals as much as me, I would look forward to playing as many games of bingo as I could afford.
I look forward to seeing some of my Texas State fam at Shelter Game Night. Bingo never sounded so intriguing until now. So let’s band together for some friendly competition in order to help some of the sheltered pet community of San Marcos.
