Name: Margo Age: 1 year old Breed: Great Pyrenees and Retriever Mix
This week, I was able to meet this super lovable dog, Margo. The first thing I want to say about Margo is that she absolutely loves to be pet. She was extremely shy and actually didn’t want to be taken out for a walk, but my guess was that she was intimidated by the other dogs and her unusual surrounding. However upon entering her kennel, she was the absolute sweetest ball of fur. She came and sat down next to me, and put her head in my lap and just waited to be pet.

Although I can’t say how well she would be on a leash or on a walk, I can tell you that she is so ready to be loved. She would be great for someone who loves to spend time inside and cuddle up with on a rainy day. She is also spayed, and house-trained which is a huge plus. For more information on Margo, click here, or visit the San Marcos Animal Shelter on 750 River Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666, to see her in person.
Pup of the week: Meet Ciri!
Name: Ciri Age: 10 weeks old Breed: Great Pyrenees (mix)

If you prefer to have a puppy instead of an adult like Margo, then maybe Ciri would be a great fit for you. They are the same breed, and have pretty much the same personality. Ciri was extremely shy when I first encountered her, and didn’t really get up to come greet me. However, she didn’t stray away when I reached out my hand, and actually welcomed my pets. Ciri would be perfect for someone who wants a puppy and one that’s a little more calm. Just keep in mind that since she is a puppy, she will need more supervision and attention than older dogs.
By Jenise Jackson Blog Content Contributor It’s pretty obvious that we are living in a society plagued by injustice and strife. Different, conflicting opinions fill our dialogue and some of us wonder when or if we will ever see the day when there is a “peaceful, common ground” and equality represents everyone.
