Under the direction of artistic director LeAnne Smith Opening Door Dance Theatre presents Avante, an event that sets forth to celebrate innovation in alignment with the 2018-2019 Common Experience.
Inspired by Loie Fuller’s innovations in lighting in the early 1900s, the event reimagines old and new choreography and hopes to showcase the ingenuity behind today’s explorations in choreography and dance cinema.
Avante: Imagination, Ingenuity, Innovation opens Oct. 18 and runs through Oct. 20 at the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone at (512) 245-6500.
