‘Femme Facts’ is a segment that highlights women in non-top 40, eclectic, local music spheres. According to the ‘Women in Music’ organization, the gender divide worldwide is roughly 70 percent male to 30 percent female and only 15 percent of label members are majority owned by women. ‘Femme Facts’ is a space in which music lovers come together to appreciate and gain knowledge about women in the industry who often aren’t in the spotlight.
