Spring always brings with it an aura of freshness. The green returns to the trees, butterflies billow amongst the blooming flowers, and there is something in the air that makes life seem a little lighter. With the celebration of a new atmosphere surrounding our everyday lives, it is only necessary to refresh the soundtracks to our everyday lives too.

For the River: A playlist made up of funky, light-hearted melodies specifically for sunny days at the river, and for reveling in the spirit of the moment. It opens with “T-Shirt Weather” by Circa Waves, which perfectly encapsulates the transition out of the lethargic cold days of winter into the warmer energetic days of spring. Other artists featured include TV Girl, SALES, and Japanese Breakfast.

For the Woods: A playlist made up of melancholy and soft songs for a solitary hike through the woods, or for the rare cloudy days of spring. It opens up with a mellow and atmospheric track by The Paper Kites called “Bloom.” Other artists featured include Soccer Mommy, Phoebe Bridgers, and Sufjan Stevens.

For the Road: A playlist made of up of new and old songs that sound much better while driving at night with the volume on max and the windows down; it can also get you through any road trip or commute to school and work. It opens up with “Freakin’ Out on the Interstate” by Briston Maroney, a song that perfectly sums up what a drive home can entail. Other artists featured range from Fleetwood Mac to Inner Wave to Cherry Glazerr.
