I sat and talked with Steve Lamos, drummer for American Football, a post-rock/emo band that gained fame after the release of their 1999 self-titled album, American Football. In this over-the-phone interview, Lamos talks about touring as a professor and father, the growth of American Football’s sound in their newest album, American Football (LP3), working with Hayley Williams, and his favorite swimming spot in New Mexico.
