SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State University is the latest university in Texas to shut down operations and move classes to an online format in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
University President Denise Trauth sent a statement to students today announcing a one-week extension to spring break and a shift to online classes through April 12.
In a statement sent to students, University President Denise Trauth said the health and safety of students is the universities top priority.
“We understand that the situation can be stressful, but by working together and remaining calm, we can help slow the spread of the virus and its possible impact on our community,” Trauth said in the statement.
