Don’t know what to do during Christmas with your friends, family, or significant other? Below is a list of things to keep you busy during this holiday season.
One clear sign of the holiday season is Christmas lights. Many cities cover their buildings and trees with lights, as well as most neighborhoods do the same. If you are feeling out of the Christmas season with Covid-19, looking at lights may be your answer.
If you are staying in San Marcos for the holiday season, one place to visit is Park Plaza in San Marcos. Even though the yearly Sights & Sounds Christmas Festival is not taking place this year, these lights are one way to celebrate.
Another local show is Santa’s Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. Santa’s Ranch is a drive-thru light display with over 1.5 million custom made lights.
A gingerbread house is a classic Christmas activity that is easy to do in the comfort of your home. Just grab a kit from a local grocery store that includes all of the essentials.
Want to decorate more? Gingerbread house competitions are a fun way to have a Christmas competition within your family or with friends.
Another way to get into the Christmas spirit is to make classic Christmas cookies. Whether they are from scratch or the store, decorating cookies will easily make it feel like the holidays.
Ugly Christmas Sweaters
What is Christmas without ugly sweaters? These can be made with a trip to your nearest craft store and be worn time and time again.
Want another competition? Host an ugly Christmas sweater competition with your friends or family.
Christmas Movie Marathon
Everyone has a favorite Christmas movie. Whether you watch them alone or with your whole family, there is nothing like having a holiday movie marathon.
Don’t know which movie to watch? Below is a list of classic Christmas movies.
- Miracle on 34th Street
- The Grinch
- Love Actually
- A Christmas Story
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
