Things I Do During Winter Break

  1. Cry Over Anime or Asian Dramas

For some reason, every winter break since high school, I renew a sudden love for anime or Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, etc.) dramas and I get into it. I will get so entranced by my love for the characters and will obsessively talk about them to anyone willing to listen. It’s not okay. I definitely have a problem with how infatuated I get with characters. Also, I have second-lead syndrome and it kills me inside every time they don’t get the love interest.

Anyway, here’s a list of what I plan to watch this winter:

  • Romance is a Bonus Book (Korean)
  • The Untamed (Chinese)
  • Meteor Garden (Chinese)
  • Start-Up (Korean)
  • Hunter x Hunter (Anime)
  • The Promised Neverland (Anime)
  • It’s Okay to Not be Okay (Korean)

And so on…

  • Plan for my Baby Sister’s Birthday

My sister’s birthday is New Year’s Eve and this year she’s turning 15. Do you know how hard it is to get a present for someone who lives in the world of technology? It’s hard. All they want is a new phone, or the latest games, or the most popular gadgets, and it’s expensive. I’m poor. I’m a college student, what money do I have to spare anymore. *cue fake sobbing*

No, I won’t be doing that for my sister. Of course not, that’s a lot of money to spend. Instead, I pimp myself out to be her personal driver to places she wants to go to for her birthday. I’ll be her personal chauffeur, no ifs, ands, or buts.

Also, she already requested that I take her to iHop for her birthday, so it’s a win-win. She gets driven around wherever she wants, and I get food.

  • Work

Sadly, I can’t just laze around all the time. My parents would kill me if I did that too consistently. So, this break I agreed to work a couple of shifts at my old job; luckily, it’s not hard and I like the people there… sometimes. I would have never agreed if I didn’t like the job, l would just be there suffering and I’m annoying when I’m bored. If I have to suffer, everyone around me will suffer too.

  • Sleep

Always sleep. Catch up on sleep. That’s always the plan.

  • Be lazy

Just lay in bed and sleep or something. Or just lay there and stare at the wall. I do it sometimes and it’s pretty relaxing.

Imagine just being in your room watching YouTubers talk about what they do when they’re bored because I do.

Overall, it’s going to be a good break. At least until the last week of break where you’ll realize it’s the last week and that you will have to go back to school and then have that very awful time of crying out of pure stress. Before that though? It’ll be good.
