If you haven’t heard about Healthy Cats yet, you are missing out! Healthy Cats is a peer education health and wellness group on Texas State’s campus that focuses their energy on topics such as physical, mental, and sexual health, nutrition and stress management, and anything else falling in the realm of health and wellness. They educate and spread awareness to students through meetings, tabling on the quad, and presentations.
Speaking of meetings, Healthy Cats meets every Tuesday at 5pm in the student health center. They are open to any major and are a safe and open space (plus it’s free to join)! Their meeting topics consist of educational lessons following a hands-on activity for members to engage and get involved.
If you are interested to learn more about what Healthy Cats does, make sure to stop by the quad on February 13th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. as they will be hosting a self love tabling event!
“Joining healthy cats has allowed me to meet people I normally would not have. I have grown so much as a person from being a part of it, and it is such a safe, welcoming, and supporting community to be involved in” – Lucinda Sherwood, Vice President of Healthy Cats.
