Ahh, the Academy Awards, otherwise known as The Oscars, one of the most controversial yetentertaining of the award shows from the award show season. The Oscars were held on March12th and had Jimmy Kimmel as the host this year. Now nothing crazy happened this year like lastyear. If you don’t remember what I’m talking about, last year was the year that Will Smithfamously slapped Chris Rock after he made a joke about Will’s wife. While nothing nearly thatentertaining happened this year, the Oscars were still worth watching.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” was the big winner at this year’s Oscars and rightfullyso. I recently watched the movie, and it is definitely one of the best movies I have seen. Thestoryline was amazing, the cinematography was beautiful, and the acting was incredible.Obviously, everyone loved the acting since the cast won best actress, best supporting actress, andbest supporting actor.
Ke Huy Quan won best supporting actor for “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. He isbetter known for his youth roles in “Indiana Jones” and “The Goonies”. When he accepted hisaward from Harrison Ford aka Indiana Jones, it was a very touching moment to watch. Hedeserved his award.
Jamie Lee Curtis won best supporting actress for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”Jamie has won other awards and has been nominated for a lot of movies, but this is her firstacademy award nomination and win. She is a very well-known actress with some of her morefamous roles being “Halloween” (the franchise), “Freaky Friday”, and “Knives Out.” Herperformances are always phenomenal so I’m not surprised she won.

Michelle Yeoh won best actress for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” She made history
as the first Asian actress to win this award. Her performance in the movie was one of the bestacting performances I’ve seen in a long time, but Michelle is well-known for her amazing actingskills. Some of her other superb performances being “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “CrazyRich Asians,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” I amso happy that she is getting the recognition she deserves for this movie.
Now I was very hyped that the actors in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” did so well, but I am beyond ecstatic that Brendan Fraser won best actor for “The Whale.” He has had arough go of it recently in case you were unaware. He was blacklisted for a while, because he saidthat he was sexually assaulted by the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA). That incident along with a few other personal things in his life was not good for hismental health. He seems to be making a comeback now, and he showed that by winning thisaward. He is one of my favorite actors, if anyone deserves to win it’s him.
Watching all these amazing people win these awards made the Oscars worth viewing thisyear. It was nice to have a break from the dramatics, like from previous years, and just watchdeserving people win the highest awards in acting.
