Pumpkin season is upon us, and what better way to indulge in the autumn season festivities than to frolic in pumpkin patches. If you’re looking for a good place to pick a pumpkin or to take nice photos for your personal gallery, I’ve curated a little list of good places for you to visit! Here is a collection of pumpkin patches in the San Marcos/Austin area for you and your family/friends to enjoy:
Mama Mary’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch
Mama Mary’s is located at 5701 Williamson road, Creedmore, TX, and they are open for business up until Nov. 12, 2023. Not only do they have a vast variety of different pumpkins for you to buy and take pictures with but Mama Mary’s is also very kid friendly with a number of games and obstacles to play with. This pumpkin patch has activities that anyone at any age can enjoy such as basketball, a hay maze and mini zip line. The entry fee for this patch would be $17 dollars per person online and $21 dollars if purchased in person at the stand. Some activities (but limited to) included at this location would be:

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival
Dripping Springs Pumpkin festival is at the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead, which is a Texas State Historical Landmark located at 419 Founders Park road. This patch is open until Oct. 29, 2023, so make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible if interested in this specific patch! Dripping Springs is open only on the weekends, and they have a special theme for each weekend. The general admission would be $15 dollars per person but babies and elders are free.

Indian Springs Ranch Pumpkin Patch
Indian Springs Pumpkin patch is also open until Oct. 29, and it is located at 403 Elm View Way Manchaca, TX. The admission for this patch would be $8 dollars per person Thursday and Friday and $16 dollars per person on the weekends. One thing that is unique about this pumpkin patch is that it includes authentic Native American themes to it. Some activities in this patch are:

Sweet Berry Farm
The last pumpkin patch on the list is the Sweet Berry Farm! This patch will be open up until Nov. 5, 2023. This farm does not charge an entry fee, but they do charge depending on what activities you would like to do in the patch! Sweet Berry Farm is open most of the week at varying times except Wednesday. This patch is very budget friendly, and they charge reasonable prices for all activities including the pumpkins to take home. Some activities in this farm include:
