Jessica Mullins Named 2024 SBC Female Athlete of the Year

Texas State Bobcats’ legendary ace Jessica Mullins capped off her historic 2024 season by becoming the first Texas State player to earn the Sun Belt Conference Female Athlete of the Year award. She was also named the SBC Pitcher of the Year for the first time in her career, selected for both the All-Conference and All-Tournament teams, and earned a spot on the First Team All-American list.
In her final season with Texas State, Mullins made her mark, starting 37 games and winning 31—finishing second in the nation for victories. She also posted a remarkable 1.45 ERA good enough for 5th best among pitchers with at least 200 innings pitched and tallied 222 strikeouts, which accounted for a quarter of her career total.
Mullins is set to continue her career professionally in the Women’s Professional Fastpitch (WPF) league, having signed with the Texas Smoke in May. The team went on to win the 2024 WPF championship.
