The Hays County Commissioners Court voted Tuesday on a resolution asking the Texas Transportation Commission for approval on the newly adopted road plan. State and county officials say the $123 million dollar plan includes new and expanded highways and an eastern loop around San Marcos. County Clerk Liz Gonzalez says the county is working on an agreement with Tex-DOT over the funding for these changes.
“We get into an agreement with either the city, the state, and we might foot the bill but then they’ll reimburse us.”

Other San Marcos road projects included in the plan are Posey Road, Ranch Road 12 and the I-35 northbound ramps.
