Between Places is the debut album of the fresh band, Young Dreams, from Bergen, Norway. Taking start with Matias Tellez, a collaborative pop band was created. Young Dreams has found a special pop sound that incorporates many different instrumental sounds to their tracks. They have been described as a “blend of symphonic, psychedelic pop” band that has “simply nailed it on their first album. I completely agree. Between Places is one of those albums that can be played straight from start to finish without skipping any tracks. The sound is so unique that it fascinates the ear and sounds like the background music to a trippy world, with an extra special applause to the instrumentation on the single, “Fog of War.” My personal top three favorite tracks include, “Footprints,” “The Girl That Taught Me How To Drink and Fight,” and “Young Dreams.”
