Body Parts is an L.A. based group with an experimental pop and synth sound. Fire Dream will be their debut album. The album is set to be released on October 29th. Frontman, Ryder Bach says that the album is about a nightmare he had, and is based on themes of life versus death and dreams versus reality. The first single off the album, “Desperation” is an example of their typical experimental pop/alternative sound and sounds like it could be something from the late 80’s. The catchy lyrics and appealing melody make the first single very enjoyable.
Another single from the album, “Unavoidable Things” shares the same style, with catchy melodies, and instrumental sounds and vocals that also sounds like they could be from the 80’s. While the album is about a nightmare and has very deep underlying themes, the singles still have very catchy, and somewhat upbeat sounds, making it easy to enjoy. An earlier single, released in February, “Rest While You Sleep” has a very interesting sound and background vocals that make the song stand out and make you want to keep listening. “People”, one of the slower songs off the album is still just as catchy as the other singles from the album, and talks about the current way of the world, and all of the people that you never even stop to consider.
All of the current singles from this album and very enjoyable and entertaining, along with the rest of the album. All of the songs are equal in quality, making for a consistent, well-done debut album.
