At first glance, Adebisi Shank’s junior album doesn’t look very promising. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what this album had in store. “This Is The Third Album Of A Band Called Adebisi Shank” (TITTAOABCAS) is jam packed and full of energy right from the start. The whole album is very video game-esqe; you’ll feel as though you’re rescuing a kidnapped princess from the top of a tower in space while listening to it. Though I guess with influences such as Crash Bandicoot, Game of Thrones, and Pixar movies, it’s not very surprising.

“World In Harmony,” the opening track on the album, starts off full force with heavy synthesizers and only builds in intensity as the song continues on with more vocoders and contagious energy for a very stimulating five minutes.

As the album continues on, there isn’t much letting up on the momentum that the math-rock trio have already built up for the listener. With soaring guitar melodies, bouncy drumbeats, and playful marimbas, “TITTAOABCAS” is a dance party just waiting to happen.
If you need to level up, give Adebisi Shank’s latest album a listen.
