Hays County will be studying the FM 150 West Alignment this week. The Texas Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and Hays County is considering realigning a five mile section of FM 150 from Arroyo Ranch Road to Interstate 35 to enhance safety and mobility on the north side of Hays County. An open house on the realignment will be held from 6-8 p.m. next Tuesday at Wallace Middle School.
Septic tank workshops will be held throughout Hays and Caldwell counties. Plum Creek Watershed Coordinator Nick Dornak will discuss how knowledge can be the best tool for maintenance during these workshops.
The City of San Marcos is looking for volunteers to fill several positions on the San Marcos Youth Commission and the San Marcos Commission on Children and Youth. These positions are appointed by the city council. An informational session will be held 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the San Marcos Activity Center.
The Sixth Annual Majors Fair will be held at noon tomorrow in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom. Those who attend will be able to explore different Texas State majors, minors and graduate programs. Students interested in attending should bring their ID cards.
