The Texas State Football team looks to win its second straight game and improve to 3-2 as the Bobcats host Idaho in the first Sun Belt Conference game on Saturday at Bobcat Stadium. The game begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN 3.
Last Wednesday I visited the Bobcats practice to interview some of the players. In an attempt to avoid repeating some of the frequently asked media questions, I made it a point to ask three players some out-of-the-norm questions about their teammates.
I asked junior wide receivers Jafus Gaines, CJ Best and senior kicker Will Johnson…
Makensie Hinkle: Who on the team would most likely go to a One Direction concert?
Jafus Gaines: Trying to think. Trying to think. Ben Ijah!
CJ Best: Felix. Yeah Felix Romero.
Will Johnson: Uh, One Direction… what’s that?
MH: Who would most likely be seen at a pool party in a speedo?
JG: I’m gonna go with… David Farris.
CB: Will Trevillion. Number 53 right there.
WJ: Ryan Carden.
MH: Who is most likely to have more shoes in their closet than their girlfriend?
JG: Brandon Smith.
CB: Uh, Brandon Jones and CJ Best.
WJ: Hmmm… I’m gonna say Tyler Jones.
I decided to give Johnson a little hint at who One Direction was and give him one more try.
