H.E.A.T. is a service organization founded in 2010 by Ian Smith and Natalie Berko. There are currently eight chapters across the state, Texas State being the alpha chapter. There are currently 164 members in H.E.A.T.

H.E.A.T. is a “social service organization dedicated to humanitarian, environmental, and animal welfare through positive activism.” – Rachel Wilson, H.E.A.T. president
Who should join?
“EVERYONE. We are a non-exclusive organization and accept anyone who is passionate about any of [our three committees].” –Wilson
How do you get involved?
“The best way to get involved is to sign up for our emails or follow us on Facebook to learn about meeting dates & times. It’s easy to be a member and participate in volunteer activities and it’s fun too!” –Wilson
An upcoming event is H.E.A.T. Street Clean Up this Sunday, February 8. Four times a year, H.E.A.T. cleans up LBJ Dr., starting at Dos Gatos and following it down to the end of LBJ. For more information, find them in the quad or visit their website.
