When thinking of hip hop music, some areas of interest that come to mind are New York, Atlanta, California and Chicago to name a few. Luckily for hip hop fans, hip hop roots have spread across the world, and it seems like 21 year-old East London rapper Jay Prince was directly affected by these roots. On January 19, 2015, Jay Prince released his mixtape BeFor Our Time, which started hip hop in 2015 off on a good foot.

BeFor Our Time overall is a soulful project that will have you smooth sailing. Jay Prince didn’t just bring a hip hop project to the table, but a music project. There is soul, live instrumentation, lyricism, and grooves within BeFor Our Time. Jay Prince does a wonderful job in bringing the listener into his world of growing up, love and passion. The transition from track to track flows seamlessly, making the overall project more enjoyable to listen to.

Each track on BeFor Our Time has its own unique vibe, making it a project that has a long life span for listeners. From this looks of this project, Jay Prince is on his way to kingliness.
