Hello, welcome to Fit Tips and Healthy living! My name is Echaka Monjok. Personally, I love running, especially running on the track at the Rec. Some people like running on the treadmill. some people like running outdoors. It doesn’t matter where you run.

Running releases a lot of endorphins, and is probably one of the best possible, classic way to get some cardio, burn calories and get your heart rate going. I love running because it is freeing. It’s an escape. I love the feeling of just putting on my headphones and running on the track. In that moment it’s just me and my music. The music influences me. It energizes me. It affects my run. I encourage everyone to try it.

I know not everyone is a runner. It isn’t for everyone, but it is something I believe everyone can try. You can start by jogging and pace yourself. It used to be so hard for me to even run on the treadmill. I did not look forward to running, but I always loved the feeling and that kept me going.

The more I ran, the more I began to love it. I crave the feeling of running now. Running is so freeing to me. Like I said, it’s an escape. Fitness can be an escape. It benefits your mind, body and soul. You feel better when you work out.  Find that escape for you. Find it in fitness and outside of fitness. Find what frees you. Go run.
