Missing Person Found Following October 30th Flood

Update at 10:50 a.m.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office has found the missing man.

Douglas Wayne Phillips was at the La Mexicana Store at 2790 Goforth Rd. in North Hays County, where he had stayed Friday evening due to flooding. He was not injuried and made it home safely.

No other missing persons have been reported in Hays County due to flooding.

There have been reports of a missing person since the flash flood that occurred on Friday.

Douglas Wayne Phillips, 73, was last seen leaving his home in Santa Fe Run in Kyle.

He may be driving a 2008 Blue Chevrolet Crew Cab 1500 Pickup with the Texas license plate 9GJSK. Phillips is described as an elderly white male. He has impaired hearing, possible memory issues and takes medication.

Any information about Phillips whereabouts can be reported to the Hays County Sheriffs Office at (512) 393-7896.
