Bobcats Score On and Off the Soccer Field

The Texas State soccer team was recognized as a whole for their great performance in the classroom. They received the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Team Academic Award for receiving an average team GPA of at least 3.0.
The Bobcats are not alone when it comes to academic excellence. Seven other Sun Belt teams also received this reward.
These ladies take the term student-athletes very seriously, and it definitely shows. The discipline it takes to perform great in the classroom and on the field is remarkable.
The Bobcats are right in the thick of things in the Sun Belt Conference and the last few games are really going to be important if they want to make the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, so wish them luck when passing them on the quad. The soccer team will be in action this Sunday at 12 when they host Arkansas State at the one and only Bobcat Soccer Complex. That game will be broadcasted live right here on KTSW 89.9.
