Life is full of changes and people often freak out when they feel as if life is out of their control. Unfortunately, a majority of instances in life cannot be controlled, but it is very possible for us to enjoy change if we allow ourselves to do so! I have mentioned a few ways to embrace change along with some positive quotes to help get you by.
Be Positive About Change
Many people have trouble adapting to change, especially when it is out of their control. Right now, my parents plan on selling the house which I grew up in. When I discovered that my home was on the market, I was shocked and left not knowing what to think about this change. However, I could not help but feel like I was losing my sanctuary I have had throughout my adolescent years. This recent moment in my life is one when I had to utilize the power of positivity. I would not be the man I am today without learning this valuable life lesson. A positive attitude allowed me to look past my emotions and examine the benefits that came with my parents decision. Their new home will make them happy and be easier to maintain. Once I saw how my parents lives will be improved, I was able to welcome this change in my life.
“The person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around him positively and draws back to himself positive results.” – Norman Vincent Peale
It is proven that a positive attitude improves situations. If you are graduating from High School or experiencing some sort of change in your life be positive about it. The only way for a person to have a positive self-fulfilling prophecy is to CHOOSE to have one. If a person fails to think positive they will be left dwelling in the fear and depression that comes with pessimism. Y’all, life is too short to waste time wallowing in fear and anxiety. Be positive.
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
Be Around Unconditionally Love
Sometimes people who freak out about change just need to find comfort in the unconditional elements of their life to calm down. Unconditional means that something comes without a list of conditions attached, they never change. Many people find comfort in things that never change because they can rely on them. So when life is crazy find the people in your life who love you unconditionally and HOLD onto them.
“13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13
Unconditional love can found in either God, family, friends, teachers, pets, etc. One place in my life where I find unconditional love is from my dogs. My dog will love me no matter how disgusting I might happen to look or smell when I come home from a long day at work. This pure example of unconditional love dogs are able to provide to their owners is enough to warm event the coldest of hearts.
Life is full of changes which can oftentimes be quite difficult to adjust to. If you are having a hard time keeping up with changes in your life then do something about it. Have a positive attitude and be around those who love you. These two simple life choices do not only give people the chance to embrace what life throws at them but enjoy it as well.
“Let go of the past and go for the future. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau
