Colourpop: The Best Inexpensive Lippies

As any other makeup lover, I find myself in Ulta and Sephora constantly. My eyes are always drawn to the most expensive and high quality products, even though my bank account does not always agree. In times when I am running a little low on money, but still need products, I try to look for inexpensive makeup that will give me a similar high quality look just like the prestige brands at Sephora. While finding eyeshadow palettes and foundations are a bit easier, finding a good lip product at a cheap price has always been difficult for me. The products end up being too sticky, too patchy or wear off too easily. I was on this search for a Lippie that was close to perfect when my roommate told me about Colourpop, an online company that sells Lippies for the outstanding price of $6.

Although I was in disbelief, I ended up ordering the products anyways. The website had a few lip options, but I was drawn to the ultra matte lip and ultra satin lip. I added about nine to my cart and expected it to be $54 and was shocked to find the total was only $36. Apparently, the items were buy one get one free! If that was not enough to get me excited, the free shipping on orders over $30 did.

After paying for my products, they arrived within four business days. Each lippie was placed within a white rectangular box with the name printed on the side in silver. I continued to immediately swatch the colors on my arm and lips, and was amazed at the results. The colors were pigmented and rich, and came out smoothly with the brush application. Even though there is a bit of color transfer, it is not overwhelming and it does not lessen the product from your lips. In fact, the color stays on all day! It was not once uncomfortable and my lips were not sticking together or patching up. The only difficult part about the lippie was taking it off at night, as the color can be stubborn.

While ordering makeup online may seem like more of a hassle, it is definitely worth it to get these items. You may not even have to order online, as the lippies will soon be available online and in stores at Sephora. Whether you want to save money like me or are just dying to try a new lippie, Colourpop is the way to go.
