KTSW 89.9 is teaming up with Ch12 Records, San Marcos’ independent record label run largely by students, to kick-off the biggest block party of the winter on December 2nd from 3pm-11pm. The event will take place on Sarah Street and will feature three stages of non-stop music for hours of sweet tunes from local bands.

With a variety of music genres, there’s sure to be something for everybody. Among the musical line up will be Attic Ted, Conway the Whale, Dirty Worms, The PNTHN, True Indigo, Stoop Queens, Manners, Pat Thomas Collective, Bogan Villa, Mojo Chyld, Shaws of Awe, The Real Hands, Poolboi Blu, Michael Alan Gill, Natalia Glenn, Oscar Andy, and Kaci Taylor.

Visitors can take a walk down the block and visit one of the many vendors located on the grounds. Vendors include Cambucha, 78666, Mike Fisher Glass, Kelsey Huckabee Art, Cypher Brujx Vintage and RopeADope.

Play for a chance to win awesome prizes from local businesses such as Buzz Mill, Tantra Coffee House, Namarupa Yoga and more by participating in one of the numerous raffles that will assist beneficiaries The Inside Books Project and The Greater San Marcos Youth Council.

The Inside Books Project is the only books-to-prisoners program in Texas, where over 140,000 people are incarcerated. Inside Books Project works to promote reading, literacy, and education among incarcerated individuals and to educate the general public on issues of incarceration. Guests are encouraged to bring a paperback book as a donation for entry.

The Greater San Marcos Youth Council Shelter provides care and assessment services to abused and neglected children. As well as counseling and other intervention services to families who are in crisis in an effort to prevent abuse and neglect, truancy, running away, delinquency, etc.
