Texas State University has plans to hold a school affiliated drag queen show with the Student Association for Campus Activities (SACA). This will be the second year that SACA has hosted the “So, You Think You Can Drag” drag show.

SACA is an organization that provides free entertainment for students on campus. Hailey Thomas, the event coordinator for SACA, said, “I really hope it provides a safe space on campus, knowing that they have this space to preform and embrace themselves through the drag show.” Thomas also hopes that the drag show will invite the LGBTQIA community to get involved on campus.

Auditions for the drag show were held last month, and they will be chose five performers to compete against each other on April 3 in the LBJ student center ballroom.
