Coming this Fall, the National non-profit organization “College Moxie” will be moving a Chapter onto Texas State University’s campus.
The goal of College Moxie is to elevate, empower, and impact all women across college campuses. As defined by College Moxie’s National Office, their mission “is to EDUCATE collegiate women about risks associated with Campus Culture and EQUIP them to stand strong and create positive change.”
The organization touches base and brings awareness to the importance of authentic community, pressures of social media, alcohol and drug use, respect and boundaries, hook-up culture and more. The Chapter achieves this through panels, speaking events and a student-led small group curriculum that is specifically curated to begin and escalate conversations on these difficult, but relevant topic areas.
For any Texas State Undergraduate looking in search of a new involvement to be a part of, I highly encourage considering Moxie in the foreseeable future. The Texas State Chapter will be founded this fall and will be a safe place for all girls no matter their major, social affiliation or situation.
“We lead with LOVE, speak with RESPECT and engage with TRUTH.”
