Local Show aims to introduce its audience to artists in their communities who are creating music that reflects the unique Texas cities we know and love. Local Show is made possible by the hard-working KTSW FM 89.9 staff on the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, Texas.
Local Show Episode 1: Die Spitz
Although you’d probably guess they’d been playing stages together since nursery school, Austin-based band Die Spitz exploded into the Central Texas music scene just over one year ago. While the band has only scratched the surface of what can be assumed to be extensive and vivacious careers for all four band members, the group is also one of many highly anticipated SXSW Official Artists for SXSW 2023. Join Avery and Sammy as they chat with the band before their set for Frothing Fest at the downtown Austin venue Mohawk on February 17th, 2023.
