The Sacred Springs Powwow, which took place Oct. 7-8, is a two-day annual festival that celebrates the cultural elements of the Coahuiltecan Native population that has been a part of San Marcos for thousands of years. Through Native clothing, arts and history, the powwow is a one-of-a-kind experience for people of all ages and backgrounds. Crowds lined up as traditional dancing and singing soared through the lively atmosphere with competitions and community involvement. If you missed the 2023 Sacred Springs Powwow, make sure to come next year and experience the festival and all it has to offer!
