The Sacred Springs Powwow, which took place Oct. 7-8, is a two-day annual festival that celebrates the cultural elements of the Coahuiltecan Native population that has been a part of San Marcos for thousands of years. Through Native clothing, arts and history, the powwow is a one-of-a-kind experience for people of all ages and backgrounds. Crowds lined up as traditional dancing and singing soared through the lively atmosphere with competitions and community involvement.
