Angel Olsen, a Missouri-born singer/songwriter and guitarist has just released her third studio album Burn Your Fire for No Witness. Previously a member of Bonnie Prince Billy & the Cairo Gang, Olsen has transcended as a solo artist gaining recognition for her expressive lyricism and riveting sound. After releasing Strange Cacti in 2011 and Halfway Home in 2012 Olsen takes a leap forward bringing us the powerful and fully fledged Burn Your Fire for No Witness.

With diverse influences including American country singer Skeeter Davis and French singer Francoise Hardy, Olsen has unquestionably established her own signature sound. Olsen’s distinctive sound, a product of her rythmic guitar, full-throated exultation, and lyrical profundity never ceases to compel listeners worldwide.

A step in the correct direction, Burn Your Fire finds a common-ground for Olsen’s intense yet serene songwriting conjuring something new, fresh, and invigorating. Explosive yet lulling at times, Burn Your Fire could arguably be one of the most poignant yet liberating albums of 2014 thus far. Give Burn Your Fire a listen- it is guaranteed to move you!
