Below is a list of a few of my favorite novels. Check them out, let me know what you think. If you have any recommendations of any books, drop a comment below!
7. Crank by Ellen Hopkins
Anything written by Hopkins is as beautifully poetic as the last. Her style is easy to follow, so if you haven’t had a chance to check her out, I recommend it!
6. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the NIght-time by Mark Haddon
This is an incredibly well written novel in the perspective of a 15 year old boy with autism. This was one of the few books I enjoyed reading in my high school AP English class.
5. Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
You may have seen the movie with Alexis Bledel as Winnie Foster as she encounters the Tuck family and must keep their secret of the magic spring.
4. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
I’m not sure of anyone who hasn’t read this book, but if you haven’t read it yet, you must pick it up then next chance you get. Emma Watson stars in the movie, which, surprisingly, did the book some justice.
3. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
One of the more classic novels on my list, I’ve read this book a handful of times.
2.The LIfe and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe by Andrew O’Hagan
This story is in the perspective of Maf, a dog given to Marilyn Monroe by Frank Sinatra. Marilyn Monroe is one of my favorite icons from Hollywood history, so of course this book tickled my fancy.
1. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Sarah Dessen was one of my go-to authors when I was younger. I was able to relate to many of the characters, and her stories helped me get through some of my teenage angst.
