My eyelashes have always been my favorite part of my face. This is where I usually take the most time when I am doing my makeup; they have to be perfect before I leave my house. I could skip the lipstick, blush, eyeliner but never mascara. I literally feel naked if I don’t wear anything on my lashes. I have tried so many mascaras in my life, some really good while others not so much. But this mascara is honestly one of the best ones I have had so far.

I found this mascara on Instagram/Snapchat. There is a fashion blogger I follow, Julia Engel (Gal Meets Glam), who has the prettiest eyes. She made a blog post about her eyelash products and she said that she loves the Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara. I wasn’t so sure if I wanted it because it is expensive, but since her eyes look perfect all the time I decided to give it a shot. This is the first Bobbi Brown product I have ever used.
Pros
This is truly the mascara of my dreams; the most important things for me when choosing a mascara are volume and length, and this product gives me both. I love dramatic eyelashes, the bigger, the better. I use an eyelash curler before to give my lashes a long and curled effect. However, I have used it without curling them before, and the mascara by itself does a good job.
You only need two coats of this mascara to get a really dramatic look. If you over do it, your lashes might start to get a little clumpy. Another thing that I love is that luckily this mascara doesn’t smudge, smear or flake under the lashes throughout the day. We have all had those annoying black dots around our eyes, or that raccoon look because our mascara flaked or smudged. Well, you don’t have to worry about that with this one.
Lastly. it can be easily removed. I use Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing water, and it wipes away so fast. My eyelashes do not get damaged or fall when I remove it.
Cons
Since it is Bobbi Brown, it is a little expensive. It is $30 at Sephora, so I know that as a college student spending that much money for something you can get way cheaper at H-E-B, can be a bummer.
The brush is a little big, so it’s hard to reach your inner or bottom lashes without it getting a little messy. Luckily we have Q-tips that can fix everything. I feel this will only happen until you get used to the brush. Once you master the size, this is not really a problem. What can be a problem is if you like a more natural look, this might not be the best option for you. The formula color is really really dark black, so it gives you a full volume. It actually can look like you are wearing fake lashes, but if you are like me, that is perfect! Also like I mentioned before, since this mascara is all about voluminous lashes, too much product will give you clumpy eyes.

I really recommend this product, even if it is pricey. What I would do is that instead of spending money in a lot of cheap ones, you can splurge on this one.

Love this mascara, but their smokey mascara is even better! I used to have to use Too Faced Better Than Sex and Lancome Grandiose to achieve what the Bobbi Brown Smokey does . & I don’t have a lack of lashes. Definitely worth the price in my opinion!
