Going to concerts is fun, but sometimes it can be hard to enjoy the moment. MR Fest is a great event for all to enjoy, even if you haven’t been going to concerts lately. Here are some tips on how to maximize your concert experience.
Stay Off Your Phone
It might be tempting to Snapchat your concert experience at MR Fest, but you might want to consider staying off your phone. Although texting, tweeting, and Snapchatting are fun, MR Fest is a great event that you’ll want to be completely tuned into. When you spend too might time recording the event you end up separating yourself from the moment. Try focusing on the concert as much as you can instead of trying to show off to your followers.
Let the Reviews Wait
Before you start thinking critically about the concert you should give all performances the benefit of the doubt. Some people, especially many who spend a lot of time in the music world, often begin to judge a performance before the concert is even over. To maximize your experience, enjoy what you hear without analyzing every beat and rhythm. Whenever the event is over you can start to think about the music and the performances you witnessed.
Nothing feels better than having a great time with your friends. Instead of checking out the MR Fest alone (which is totally fine, by the way. You do you, boo boo) go ahead and invite some friends from class or bring your roommates by. Concerts are a social experience, and although it’s fun to meet new people at cool events like MR Fest, you might feel more comfortable of you bring some people you know. The more the merrier, and you might find yourself having a better time with them than alone.
To avoid hunger pains during musical performances, you should eat before you arrive. We all know what it’s like to be hungry and irritable, and when you want to go to MR Fest you’ll want to be as involved as possible. Either eat at the food venues at MR Fest, somewhere close by, or at home. Make sure to eat so that you can enjoy the concerts without getting too hungry or thinking about what you’ll eat later.
Try to remember these tips as you head out to MR Fest, and remember to have a good time!
