This week’s Monday Bobcat Radio had a different flavor compared to previous installments. With Host Andrew Zimmel sidelined due to illness and Dominic Ansley going M.I.A., I stepped in to keep the fun going with Monday favorite Alex Gibbs. First, we talked about Bobcat baseball’s much needed win Saturday over Little Rock that broke their six game losing streak. We also discuss the uncertainty surrounding the pitching staff as the team plays Baylor and UTSA Monday and Tuesday night, while introducing a new segment called “Rate that Take.” Afterwards, we discuss the dominant weekend Randi Rupp had to keep the Bobcats perfect through their first eight conference matchups. She struck out 30 Eagles for goodness sakes. Next, we dive into the discussion of how the NCAA could be phased out by the NBA’s G League when it comes to where the prospects develop for the prime time. Finally, we make our picks for Monday’s NCAA championship game between Villanova and Michigan before talking opening weekend in the MLB.
Keep tuning into Bobcat Radio every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from eleven to noon while following us on twitter @KTSWSports. Thanks for listening!
