On September 16, K-pop group Tomorrow X Together brought their Act: Tomorrow world tour to the American Airlines Center, performing for thousands of fans eager for the group’s return to Texas. 

The tour follows the July 21 release of the group’s latest album, The Name Chapter: Together. Known as the first K-pop act to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival, TXT has quickly become a voice for today’s youth, capturing universal experiences and emotions through their genre-blending music. 

Formed under BigHit Music as the second boy group after BTS, Tomorrow X Together, made up of members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai, has gained global recognition not only for their polished vocals and intricate choreography, but also for their candid, chaotic friendship that endears them to fans around the world. 

Before the members even took the stage, their fans, better known as MOA, were already buzzing with excitement. A marathon of TXT’s music videos began as soon as doors opened, progressing chronologically from their debut single to their newest release, Beautiful Strangers. As the final video ended, the lights dimmed, light sticks synchronized in color, and a dramatic spotlight showed the members walking among the crowd, singing “LO$ER=LO♡ER” as they made their way to the main stage. 

The high-production concert was divided into six themed sections, each featuring dynamic stage backdrops and an impressive seven costume changes. Songs from every TXT album were represented, showcasing the group’s genre versatility; from rock and hip-hop anthems like “Growing Pain,” “Good Boy Gone Bad,” and “Frost,” to punk-pop hits like “I Know I Love You” and “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” to more pop influenced tracks including “Blue Hour,” “Blue Orangeade,” “Love Language,” “Over the Moon,” “Danger,” and “Upside Down Kiss.” 

A highlight of the night was the solo sets. This was the first time TXT had performed solo stages for each member from their latest album. Each of these performances revealed the unique talents of the artists: 

• Taehyun delivered an emotional R&B ballad, “Bird of Night,” layered with ambient synths. 

• Soobin with the laid-back, acoustic leaning “Sunday Driver.” 

• Huening Kai performed “Dance With You,” a groove-driven, sultry number. 

• Yeonjun turned up the energy with “Ghost Girl,” a reggae-rock fusion produced by British artist YUNGBLUD. 

• Beomgyu closed out the solo sets with “Take My Half,” a raw and emotional rock ballad. 

After the solo stages, the group reunited for a powerful segment featuring “Dear Sputnik,” “No Rules,” “Déjà Vu,” and “Eternally,” tracks that blended rock, hip-hop, and experimental sounds, reinforcing TXT’s musical range. 

In the second to last section of the show, the stage transformed with a striking visual: clock hands turned backward as if rewinding time, while footage of the members from their early debut days filled the massive LED screen. A mashup of some of their most iconic songs played, setting the tone for what came next. 

A familiar melody followed and then revealed an acoustic rendition of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s debut track, “CROWN.” The stripped-down performance added a raw emotional weight to the song that started it all. As the final notes faded, the members removed their jackets and launched into their latest title track, “Beautiful Strangers,” a high-energy performance that felt both powerful and deeply personal. 

Closing out the section was “Song of the Stars,” a performance that perhaps most vividly illustrated the group’s seven-year journey. It was a moment where time, growth, and emotion converged and one that made it personally hard to hold back tears. This scene felt as if it were the culmination of a narrative TXT has built throughout their discography. The story is about five boys and a star, and they make a promise to each other. “Song of the stars” lyrics directly reference this: “Even if we part ways, we’ll meet here again, Do you still remember that promise we made with our pinkies?” 

After a brief intermission, the screens lit up once more, this time with a surprise. Fans were instructed to learn the official fan chant: reciting the members’ names in order, from leader to youngest, and closing with “TOMORROW X TOGETHER,” and to prepare for a special singalong of the fan-favorite track “Cat & Dog.”  

For the encore, the members returned to the stage wearing tour merchandise: blue baseball jerseys with “TOMORROW” across the front and “DALLAS” on the back, along with the number 25, a nod to the year and the city. The encore set was filled with joy and celebration, featuring performances of “MOA Diary,” “I’ll See You There Tomorrow,” “Magic,” and pretending to end the night with “Miracle.” They walked out, the lights went out before coming back up to perform Yeonjun’s debut single, ending on an energetic note with their group version of “Ggum.” 

With Act: Tomorrow, TOMORROW X TOGETHER came full circle, what began with The Dream Chapter: Star has now found closure in The Name Chapter: Together. Through this tour, the group brought their long-standing promise to life, building a better tomorrow, together.
