With LEVITATION Fest right around the corner, it’s time to start planning your week because you won’t want to miss some of the bands in this year’s line up. Call out of work if you have to! It’ll be worth it. In case you’ve missed it, LEVITATION will be happening across multiple venues in Austin, Texas from September 10th to the 13th. Highly sought after artists will be attending the festival this year and playing shows throughout the city. For example, we have The Garden, Angine de Poitrine, Die Spitz, Sleep, Bikini Kill, Arlo Parks, and so much more. I mean, I was stunned when I saw the initial teasers of the line up come out earlier this summer and LEVITATION did not disappoint. This year, LEVITATION returns to Far Out Lounge and across other venues such as The Mohawk, Stubb’s, 13th Floor, 29th ST. Ballroom, and more!

LEVITATION has something for everyone this weekend! They are bringing in a plethora of genres to Austin, Texas. You can find everything from psych rock, indie, punk, to more experimental genres such as dark wave, dream pop and electronic music. DO NOT FORGET, the festival will be held at The Far Out Lounge in Austin, Texas. This is where the main hub for the weekend will be. I’ll be spending most of my time there and I have to say, it’s a great venue if you’ve never been. Over the weekend, from the KTSW crew, you can expect to see live updates, artist interviews, and more. I’m most excited to see Sleep and Die Spitz this year. For those who don’t know, famous guitarist Matt Pike had exited the band a few months ago so this will be a whole new experience for all to see. Their newest project is seriously heavy and something worth considering checking out. Also, be sure to check out the bands that open for Sleep on Sunday. It’s an action packed day full of heavy psych and doom. Austin’s very own, The Well, will be playing the same day and I could not be any more excited to see them. As well as ABSOLUTE legends in the scene, Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats. In my opinion, every day of the festival has a different feel and theme to it and I am so ready for the weekend. Hopefully we see some familiar faces out there.
