Other Side Drive This Week

Hey guys, it’s time to let you know what we’ve got coming up this week on Other Side Drive!

This time around, I’ll be giving you some information about a couple of our many awesome segments for the week.

On Monday, you’ll be hearing from Shannon Williams during our Money Share segment. She spoke with the guys behind Superfly Music Emporium, a music merchandising store that just expanded into San Marcos.

Tuesday, your hosts Anyssa and Harrison will be talking with Dan Japko and Derick Garcia from La Bella Vida. This is a student-produced news/talk show with beginnings in Hispanic community at Texas State but has since broadened its reach to the general student community of Texas State and San Marcos. Our very own Halie Davis was on the show back in September (check out their YouTube channel) and now they’ll be on Other Side Drive so tune in for that!

Wednesday brings you our Tech Talk segment with some information about Foxconn, which is a factory in China where Apple and other tech products are produced, possibly bringing a factory to the United States. What might this mean for the United States labor market? Tune in and find out more!

This Thursday will include an interview with Residual Kid! These guys just recently played Fun Fun Fun Fest, where the (unconfirmed) statistic going around was that they were the youngest band playing! Their three members are aged 12, 13 and 14 but they rock out with a 90s grunge/alternative sound that makes you think they were all Gen X’ers. They’ll be playing our Third Thursday event but tune in first to hear them on Other Side Drive!
