Thank God, we are past that time in our lives where we do not have to buy nearly $600 worth of school clothes and supplies in August. Of course, we will be buying that much in books, possibly more, but you should save up at least $150 right now, so you can buy these things before school starts. I promise after paying for everything on this list you will feel as fresh as you did when you showed up to the first day of class in elementary school.

Ladies, buy yourself a set of panties. Throw out your entire drawer right now and buy yourself some new, comfortable underwear. This is something I believe should be replaced multiple times a year. Make sure they are cotton. Also, buy some perfect ones for those skinny jeans. Visible panty lines are not acceptable, so get a variety of them. Now if you are like me, you wear a t-shirt and shorts every day to class. I do not care what I look like on campus. I have zero intentions of dressing to impress for a 50-minute class, especially when half the class is not even present. To me, there is two meanings of feeling good on the inside, and that is my heart and rocking a pair of some new panties from Victoria’s Secret. Treat yourself.

Guys, new underwear goes for you as well. Replace them, please. Socks too! Girls, this is throwing your hair in a top knot bun season because it is way too hot to wear it down. Since you will be wearing it up more often you will most likely be giving those hot tools a break. So, go ahead and get those split ends cut off so you will start off the semester with healthy hair while it is on a break from styling.

Guys, get a haircut too. You all have no idea how handsome you all look with a fresh haircut. Us women actually notice when you do something different to your hair. Start the school year looking fresh and keep up with it.

My favorite thing to buy right before school is a planner. Everyone needs consistency in their life. A planner allows you to plan how you want your day to go. Stay on top of due dates and when you need to get things done!

I am going to say it and I am not sorry about it. Drop that copay on this before school starts. I am not going to tell you why to do this because you already know- so just do it. Get an STI screening. Stay healthy bobcats.

You know that awful feeling you get after you made an impulse splurge? Well I guarantee that you will feel the opposite after these purchases.
