The Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos is hosting their 2nd annual sprint triathlon on Saturday, September 21st at Aquarena Springs. Event coordinators say they have about 200 people registered to attend the event, but they hope they will reach maximum capacity of 300 participants before the day of the race. Around 3:30 A.M. on August 30th, a man described as a black male wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, blue jean, a black baseball hat and a handkerchief covering his face, robbed a person at gunpoint outside of tower residence hall.
